- The WM Audio Encoder defaults to 9.2 if it is
installed; defaults are 20kbps/22kHz for broadband and 5kbps/8kHz
for dial-up.
- If you do not configure your encoder settings
prior to performing a lesson, the encoder settings dialog is displayed
when you attempt to record a lesson.
- Content is now uploaded using your broadband
encoder settings. Now only if the MBR option is checked is content
uploaded for multiple audiences.
- Bug fix: PAL video downloaded from locker or
model content was converted to an NTSC framerate, making them appear to
play faster.
- If there are videos in your Academy outbox, and
the V1 is connected to the Internet when you attempt to exit the
V1, a warning is displayed.
- When you move video to an Academy locker using the Move button, you
are now able to change the video's description from its default (the
video's "notes" field in the V1 database). When moving multiple
videos, leave this box blank to use the "notes" field, or enter a
description to be used for all videos being moved.

- Video sent to the secondary/external monitor is
now automatically formatted to best fit the monitor's screen size
(resolution). As a result, 640x480 or 800x600 TV's and digital
recorders may now be used.
- A new option on the Options/Resources page forces the secondary
monitor video to be "anamorphic"--that is, it will be stretched to
fit the screen regardless of the screen size. You may want to use
this if you are creating an anamorphic DVD (a standard definition DVD
that will fill a 16:9 monitor).

- When you click Stop while recording an Academy or CD lesson, you may
now resume with recording left in the "pause" state until you click the
Record button again. This allows you access to buttons such as
Compare while recording is paused.
- A new button has been added to immediately "discard" your lesson
after you click Stop while recording an Academy or CD lesson.
Previously, you would have had to click Stop, Done, then Cancel.
- When reviewing a CD lesson, the Cancel button has been renamed as
"Later." This emphasises the existence of the feature which allows
you to accumulate lesson segments for a student and burn them all at
once.

- The Internet academy account
login/authentication procedure has changed. A valid email/password
is now required before selecting an academy.
- While an Academy lesson is paused, you may now
open another video or revise your illustrations before continuing.
- The "broadband" setting on the Options/Academy
page now defaults to "student preference" (was "Never").
- You may now change audio codecs on the
Options/Academy/Edit encoder profiles page. The recommended codec
is still "Windows Media Audio 9 Voice." However, if you are
importing content with music, you may wish to use the non-voice codec,
then switch back before recording a lesson.
- Bug fix: triggered recording was limited to 3
seconds regardless of option setting.
- If you are using the HyTek forceplates, you will
need to contact V1 support in order to have the forceplate feature
enabled for your V1 license. It may be necessary to manually
"de-activate" from the Options/System Info window before it is possible
re-activate.
- Broadband Academy lesson creation has been made
more efficient by avoiding the re-encoding of static images.
- When you use the "set as default wrap-up" option
on the Academy lesson review page, the lesson title and clip titles now
are saved for future lessons.
