While using V1 Putt, one or more of my cameras became disconnected and the live video image froze. What happened?
The V1 Visual Putting System detects the connected FireWire cameras and video devices when you start the software. If, for any reason, one or more of your cameras turns off or becomes disconnected from the computer, the image in the live video window will freeze and V1 Putt will not reconnect to your camera until you restart the V1 Visual Putting System software. This behavior is by design. Exit the software, turn off your cameras, then turn them back on one at a time, pausing several seconds between each camera.
If you are using camcorders powered by batteries, make sure that they are fully charged, and any power-saving (auto-shutoff) modes are disabled. Also, the FireWire specification calls for a maximum cable length of only 15 feet. Be advised that using cables of longer lengths could result in connectivity problems. If you continue to experience connectivity issues, inspect your FireWire ports and cables to ensure that the connectors are not damaged.
