If you are working with a screen resolution setting that is fairly large such as 1440x960 and you decided to change the font DPI setting to large fonts in Windows' Screen settings so that text on your display is large enough to read, this will also affect applications such as V1 Pro. This makes the font too large to fit correctly in the V1 window and thus the Tools are missing.
To fix this, it is necessary to change the DPI setting back to normal 96 in Windows' Screen settings.
In WinXP, right click on your display, click on properties/settings/advanced and set for 96 Normal.
In Vista, right click on your display, click on personalize. In that window on the far left at the top, click on Adjust font size (DPI) and set for default scale 96 DPI.
